Dr. Thomas Cesaro
Dr. Thomas Cesaro is a second-generation optometrist following in the footsteps of his father, Salvatore R. Cesaro. Providence Eye Associates has a long tradition of providing quality eyecare dating back to 1949.
Dr. Cesaro completed his undergraduate studies at Providence College and was awarded his Doctorate Degree from New England College of Optometry. In addition to his private practice, he serves as a preceptor to optometric students and residents at the Providence Veterans Hospital. At the VA, he has served as Interim Chief of the Optometric Service, co-director of the Optometric Residency Program and is an adjunct faculty member to several optometric colleges.
His focus has been primary optometric care with special interest in ocular disease and contact lenses.
He is a member of the American and Rhode Island Optometric Associations. He was a board member of the RI chapter and president in 1991.
When not working, Dr. Cesaro enjoys spending time with his family and being outdoors, especially fly fishing. He is also an avid New England sports fan.
